Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge, near Roswell, N.M., Chaves County, New Mexico, USA

Size: 1-3/4 to 2" lgth
Mature unworn specimen. Perched over shallow, slow moving water.
Shared location with a Flame Skimmer. Females scarce - none seen after 2 days of viewing in the area.
