Size: each approx 0.75 inch
Series of cocoons in fold of outdoor umbrella. Total length approximately nine inches, included 15 cocoons, nestled in grass and fibers, with dead wasps (visible in back picture). Cocoons are laid side by side, not end to end.

That oould be. We find these each spring when we open our outdoor umbrellas, but have not found any that hatched. Many appear to be empty. Perhaps these locations are too cold for overwintering?
