large winged creature (truly freaking out)

large winged creature (truly freaking out)
Riverside County, California, USA
March 21, 2018
Size: 1 inch - 1.25 inch
Large body, translucent wings, looks like a nightmare. It’s big! It’s body is about 1 inch in length, and from what I could observe, the wings behind it were about 2.5 inches wide, closed. Where does it come from? What’s the original larvea, what are they attracted to? (light, nighttime, dirt, dark places, warm, cold etc.) What is it? Is it natural or did it get into some weird chemicals? Any extra info
