Unusual Hyparpax - Hyparpax aurostriata - Male
1.3 Miles NW of Camp Wood, Edwards County, Texas, USA
June 10, 2017
Size: apx 15 mm long
I sent this specimen to BOLD and it tested Hyparpax aurostriata. It looks like H. venus. Posted to show that there may be a color morph of this species.

Moved to Hyparpax aurostriata (Size?)
Moved from Hyparpax.

Tentative ID for now. I see that this is BOLD sample CCDB-29062-F06 and that it is barcoding as aurostriata but I'm wondering if you have the size as this looks like it could be minor which is known from Kerrville, TX. Also, venus is in the same BIN. This may be a genus where barcode fails to distinguish species.
