Moth with six notches - Nola triquetrana

Moth with six notches - Nola triquetrana
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
March 25, 2018
This was a white and gold moth that had two dark brown notches on the costal margin at the level of the basal line (smaller), two notches at the level of the antemedial line, and two notches at the level of the median line. There was a faint light gray orbicular spot in the middle of his thorax. Just below the median line level notches, there was a vague wavy orange band. His wavy subterminal line was brown and he had a dark brown diagonal spot at its junction with the costa. His terminal line was a series of dark and light brown dashes and his fringe was brown near the apices and lighter closer to the inner margin.
