Looks like one to me. They fly through October in CA. I have no idea about Delaware.

Thanks, we are surrounded by MD, NJ and PA; none of them show this butterfly in October so I probably caught the last one in September.

Interesting pose
I've never seen one with both the "hairs" curled upwards. Generally, they turn away and rub wings together to ward off evil intruders - me - with their fearsome appearance. (The effect is supposed to be a creature with a huge orange eye and large antennae.)
Did it stay this way for a period of time, or did you catch it withj wings in mid-rub? (Your other photo shows a typical pose.)

Blowin' In The Wind
I'll bet the reason that both tails are sticking up was because there was a slight breeze blowing in that direction. I've seen it happen before:
