Thanks Sean
Species id based on it being identical to Claude's with the comment it's the only one listed for Quebec, and I. falicus is the only Ischnodemus listed in the UNH database.

Ischnodemus falicus
I live in Southern New Brunswick Canada and im having a problem with this guy and a hole bunch of his friends swarming my house at this time of Year. I had him Identified as a close relative of a Chinch Bug that gives off a foul odor when squashed, and I live near to a Fresh water/salt water marsh by PEST CONTROL CANADA web site. They squeeze between the doors and weather stripping and when door is opened they drop inside. How do I make them go away? Please help thsy are a nuisance
Thanks Pat

Looks
good. Common on a Carex in/around salt marshes at this time of year.

On Carex, or maybe Spartina?
Just wondering, since I find this bug exclusively on Spartina pectinata out here in the Midwest.
