My biggest problem labeling this is that the wing venation doesn't seem to match with other examples in the Guide, but, then, I ain't no expert in ants, believe me...

C. wheeleri is an arid land western species
It is not known from Georgia at this time. The two species in your area are minutus and rimosus, rimosus being the larger and generally more common one.

 
We have
so many adventive species, especially ants, running around here, it wouldn't surprise me to see something that lives in a very dry climate decide to take up residence, if only temporary, in this area...
