Seed bug or Damsel - Neopamera bilobata

Seed bug or Damsel - Neopamera bilobata
Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama, USA
October 6, 2007
Size: about 1/4 inch
I can't narrow this insect's identification down. At first I thought it was a seedbug but now I am leaning towards a damsel. They are found in the garden at night feeding on the flower buds. They are aggressive towards one another, almost territorial. It does have a long snout like the assassin bugs but I did not see any feeding off other insects.

I also think it is the genus John pointed at (clicking on image will open link).

If it helps....
There seemed to be something in the air last night with these guys. They would pair off and back up against each other (mating?). I was able to get some decent shots and I'll post one or two after I process them.

They also appear to be nocternal.

I looked high and low
but couldn't find that image as a reference.

...
I thought the one I found was a Nabid as well...

Not an ID
Kind of reminds me of this guy
