Female northern walkingstick.
As far as I know, the only species in your area is the northern walkingstick, Diapheromera femorata. This specimen appears to be a female, and may not even be mature yet. They can get a bit larger than you indicate this specimen is. Males are more slender, and have obvious claspers at the tip of the abdomen, as well as swollen middle legs with spurs on the "thighs." Helps him stay coupled during mating, which can last several hours, if not days (he guards her once mating is completed).
