Stitched moth - Chytonix sensilis

Stitched moth - Chytonix sensilis
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
April 13, 2018
This brown moth had a large orange orbicular spot centered over his thorax. His AM line was fairly straight, the ends of which, at the inner margin, looked like sleeping eyes on a central figure. His PM line was very jagged and did not reach the costa. Just above the PM line and on the inner margins were two white vertical stripes. Between the AM line and PM line he had two reniform shapes. They appeared as indentions, with no particular coloration of the lines or coloration inside them. His subterminal line was brown and wavy and was shadowed with orange toward the outer margin. His terminal line was thin and dark brown. His fringe was brown interspersed with streaks of white. There was a tuft of scales at the end of his abdomen.
