Size: ~5mm.
Couldn't get a good dorsal shot to show the abdomen of this guy, maybe a syrphid of some kind? May be the same as .

Nice shot of a Paragus, a syrphid
I picked this up from your more recent post. These guys are quick, small and wary, so any decent shot is a real feat. This specimen is better looking than those here, which have a non-metallic plain black back.
