First of three distinct sightings of T. californicum on Bay Laurel - Timema californicum - male - female

First of three distinct sightings of T. californicum on Bay Laurel - Timema californicum - Male Female
Mount Diablo, Contra Costa County, California, USA
April 7, 2018
An immature male (left) and female (right) of Timema californicum, found in the late afternoon wandering on foliage of a California Bay Laurel tree (Umbellularia californica). This is not a recognized or verified host plant for the species (and it may not be! :-)...but, within the span of an hour, we did see three instances of T. californicum on three bay trees, each separated by hundreds of feet.
