Second of three distinct sightings of T. californicum on Bay Laurel - Timema californicum - Male
Mount Diablo, Contra Costa County, California, USA
April 7, 2018
An immature male Timema californicum, found in the late afternoon wandering on foliage of a California Bay Laurel tree (Umbellularia californica). This is not a recognized orverified host plant for the species...but, within the span of an hour, we did see three instances T. californicum on three bay trees, each separated by hundreds of feet.

Right antenna has 19 segments (scape, pedicel, and 17 flagellomeres).
