Thevenetimyia tridentata
Granada Hills, O'Melveny Park., Los Angeles County, California, USA
April 24, 2018
Size: ca. 10 mm
This sleek looking fly landed on packed dirt on a tree stump along side a trail in chaparral/riparian creekside. Thought it was a snipe fly or stiletto fly, but help from Brian Brown and Jim Hogue provided this ID within the Bombyliidae. (Corrected locality)
