Ant Carries Object up Vertical Cliffside - Tetramorium immigrans

Ant Carries Object up Vertical Cliffside - Tetramorium immigrans
Tracys Landing, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
April 22, 2018
The ant was climbing down the cliff when it discovered this item. Impressively it carried this very large and awkward item about 5 feet up the cliff to the forested area above. It couldn't get the item over overhangs but managed to hang on to it until it found another way. This was a dusk on a beach along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Any idea what kind of any it is? It seems similar to Aphaenogaster fulva, but Prenolepsis imparis likes nests with clay or sand which are abundant in this area.
