Size: 2.6 cm (gall on right)
December 25, 2017: JD Thompson collected interesting stems of Horseweed, Conyza canadensis

as well as stem galls (specific gall on RH side)
April 20 to May 15, 2018: parasitoid wasps


April 24, 2018: 1 beauty gall fly. But there were 2 spent gall fly pupal cases protruding from the gall; did not find a second fly.
April 27, 2018: I thought 3 days in the fridge would be enough to calm everybody such that I could try for more photos. Lost 1 wasp & in 10 seconds the fly flew off. Oh to get just ONE more!!
April 28, 2018: YES, ONE MORE FLY! and then a 2nd one.

In his Red Book (p.134) Gagné writes: "Larva in stem swellings, either rough and usually to one side of the stem or smooth, tapered...Neolasioptera eregeroni.
