longhorn flower beetle (possibly Typocerus fulvocinctus) - Typocerus fulvocinctus
Venice/Curry Creek Preserve East, Sarasota County, Florida, USA
April 29, 2018
Size: body 1.5" long, 0.5" wide
Observed on a rose-rush flower (Lygodesmia aphylla) in the late morning in pine flatwoods habitat. Possibly a new record for Sarasota County, FL.
