Lead-colored Lichen Moth - Cisthene plumbea

Lead-colored Lichen Moth - Cisthene plumbea
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
April 30, 2018
This was a small gray and yellow moth with a length of about 1.0 cm. From the top view, it looked like his right wing folded over his left. His wings appeared dull gray and there was a wide band of yellow around the edges. He had a large spot of yellow near the bottom. From the side view, the spot appeared as a dollop of yellow dripping down his gray wings. His underside was also lined with yellow. His head was more orange. 8067 – Cisthene plumbea – Lead-colored Lichen Moth?
