This is definitely Oecanthus
But without a photo of the front of the base of the antennae, it can't be ID'd to species. If you happen to have another encounter with a Tree Cricket this year, especially an all green one like the one in your photo - with no red or orange on it's head - try to take a photo like this:


This photo, BTW, is of a Davis' Tree Cricket (which I think resembles yours). The range map at Singing Insects of North America
Singing Insects of North America , however, does not show this species in California. So if there are Davis' in California, it'd be good information.
