Brown moth with yellow top - Adoneta spinuloides

Brown moth with yellow top - Adoneta spinuloides
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
May 5, 2018
This was a brown moth with a length of about 1 cm. He had two yellow basal streaks that extended to his median(?) line and a central yellow streak that extended to the median line. His thorax was dark rusty brown with lighter tan tufts surrounding it, except on the basal side. It looked like an upside horseshoe on his thorax. His median line, in conjunction with the central yellow streak, had the appearance of an M. Below his AM line he was dark rusty brown. His fringe was black and brown and there appeared to be a very thin tan line running through it.
