Bibio genus march fly pair - Bibio - male - female

Bibio genus march fly pair - Bibio - Male Female
La Grande, Union County, Oregon, USA
May 8, 2018
It was a lucky break to find this pair of Bibio genus march flies "in copula". I was amazed to see this species' degree of sexual dimorphism. This pair was attracted to lights and discovered on my daily moth survey.
