horse droppings beetle - Sphaeridium scarabaeoides

horse droppings beetle - Sphaeridium scarabaeoides
Las Trampas Regional Park, Contra Costa County, California, USA
October 13, 2007
Size: 7mm
A bunch of these were underneath some very wet horse poop. Thought it was a scarab until I looked more closely at the antennae in the photos.
Are the humeral spots well-defined enough to be Sphaeridium scarabaeoides? (per Boris' comments here)

Moved
Moved from Sphaeridium.

Yes
The little pale area on the side of the pronotum show that it is effectivly S. scarabaeoides. This pale mark isn't always there for this species, but when it is, it always point to him.
