Moved
Moved from Limonius.

Limonius sp.
These seem to be rather common up here in the northeast.

these clicks are pure joy

another shot of the same specimen (in these early BG times many were routinely left unlinked) ended up in a different subfamily!! -- which doesn't surprise me one bit, frankly... one of the user-unfriendliest groups (second only to nematodes, perhaps :))))))))
NOTES:
1. If you think i could put this one in either genus, you're gravely mistaken. I would be 100% clueless.
2. Venceremos!

Linked and moved to the same page
For now I'll go with Dennis' opinion of Limonius sp.

I'm glad you're having lots of fun:-) These must be like what Don Chandler said about Agonum beetles, that they are named right, pure agony.

I'm not sure what your comment 2 is, but I think I get the idea:-)

having fun
yup, i'm creeping thru MCZ types one by one for the second time and wondering if i've lost my mind already or the insanity is just around the corner

Limonius sp.
