Spine-Tipped Dancer, Lavender Male - Argia plana - male

Spine-Tipped Dancer, Lavender Male - Argia plana - Male
Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
April 8, 2018
Size: 2 cm
This was at Tohono Chul Park in Tucson, and there seemed to be one species of damselfly present, and centered around the little water feature. I spent a long time trying to decide if they were sweetwater or spine-tipped dancers, as they look similar and both are in the area, and I decided they had to be spine-tipped due to the looks of the females and the humeral stripes.

Moved
Moved from Spine-tipped Dancer. Lacks distinctive black saddle shape on S2.
