Megachile montivaga - Pasadena, Residence , Los Angeles County, California, USA May 7, 2013
Have had M. montivaga in my thistles (Cirsium occidentale) for years, but had forgotten about the photos. Occasionally I can see one in another flower, as this female taken in one of my Monardella.
