Cicindela hirticollis maybe M&F - Cicindela duodecimguttata - male - female

Cicindela hirticollis maybe M&F - Cicindela duodecimguttata - Male Female
Longmonr, Boulder County, Colorado, USA
April 22, 2018
Size: male ~ 11.5 mm
This male and female tiger beetle pair were on the sandy shoreline of one of the ponds of Golden Ponds, elevation ~4980'. Note the very hairy lateral margin of the pronotums. It looks like C. hirticollis, the Hairy-necked Tiger Beetle.

I have yet to see any evidence that C. duodecimguttata and C. oregona actually hybridize. However, they do seem to co-occur in a few places in Colorado.
