Pretty sure it's Lejops but any help on species would be great!

Thinking maybe Lejops (Asemosyrphus) polygrammus but it would be helpful to have more images, especially a clear side view of the face as that's quite helpful in Lejops.

(In general - for what it's worth, since you have the specimen (or had it?), it would be helpful to have a few more photos - dorsal, a clear photo of the wing, and a frontal view of the face are all very helpful with syrphids.)
