This ones for Nick Fensler.has a white marking at the base of each antenna.

C. nigripes
It's C. nigripes. Quite similar to C. bipunctata, but completely lacking red or orange coloration.

This should be another easy one.
However, I'm not particularly familiar with western subspecies of some Ceropales and a few of the western species. I have actually never seen specimens of C. cubensis or C. nigripes. I'll look over my Townes and make the ID. His Ceropales key is fairly straightforward and stills seems useful.

this is the first and last specimen I have caught of C.nigripes, in over 12 years. Haven't seen one since.

i will need to look this up later, i do not remember off the top of my head... but i think this is Ceropales nigripes.

this species can be variable... i still like calling it C. nigripes. in any case, it is always best to wait for Nick to chime in.
