White-Lined Sphinx
This is a nice picture of a "White-Lined Sphinx" or "Striped Morning Sphinx". This moth flies during the day. It ranges from southern Canada to Central America.

Thank You for the information. I'm new at this and appreciate your identification and comments. Will try to crop the picture and resubmit. Thanks again.

crop
But it would help if you would crop it some so the insect essentially fills the image. You can simply crop and save the image; then click on edit on this image; and paste the new image in its place. Keep as much of the flower as you feel appropriate, but there is too much plant and not enough insect in the current post.
