Not sure exactly what is going on here but the bee was definitely not having a good time.

Can either of the winged brawlers be ID'd?

I definitely misread the exhibited behavior as an unwelcomed attack. There certainly is quite a difference in the physical appearance of the Tiphiinae males and females. Thanks again for your ongoing help :)
