Black and Orange Fly - Update: Sawfly, Tethida barda?

Black and Orange Fly - Update: Sawfly, Tethida barda?
Whitewater State Park, Winona County, Minnesota, USA
May 19, 2018
Size: approx. 1/2 inch
Updated to reflect the sawfly ID.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Perhaps because it is not a fly?
It's a Hymenoptera - a sawfly, possible the family Tenthredinidae.

Thanks
Ah, that would explain it. I always forget that sawflies exist for some reason. I think it might be Tethida barda then?
