Honey bee of some type I believe. Can anyone ID species?

Thanks
Thanks for the ID and the interesting info.

Only one
Apis mellifera, the only species in this what I believe is an Old World genus.

...
The only Apis species in North America, but in Asia there is A. dorsata, and A. florea, as well as some others.
