Hiding under a rock - Kukulcania

Hiding under a rock - Kukulcania
Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, New Mexico, USA
May 22, 2018
Found this hiding out under a rock this morning.

An
immature Kukulcania arizonica most likely.
Common throughout the area in both natural and manmade habitats.

Unfortunately color is unreliable for determining sex in juveniles of this species as some females stay light colored until molt to sexual maturity, where they often turn dark brown to black. Females are usually darker as juveniles, however.

The spider in image is the norm for immature males, though.

Moved for the experts
Moved from True Spiders. More likely to get attention here.
