Leaf mine on Triosteum perfoliatum - Aulagromyza cornigera

Leaf mine on Triosteum perfoliatum - Aulagromyza cornigera
Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan, USA
May 22, 2018
Stem with dense glandular hairs with scattered longer hairs ID species of plant. Mine was unoccupied. In same area as fly leaf mines on Lonicera.

Moved
Moved from Leaf Miner Flies.

Looks like cornigera all right... it would be great if you can collect larvae next year from this host. It's also worth watching throughout the year, since John van der Linden has found three different agromyzid mines on Triosteum that don't match anything that is known.
