On first sighting this I thought it was Leucage, but it sure ain't. For some reason, she kept ducking her cephalathorax when I attempted an overview, but relaxed completely when shooting the oblique. On the oblique view, if you look closely, it looks like she has enormous fangs, but may just be her palps, I can't tell which...

to juvenile clavipes.
If you ever get up to Barrow or Jackson counties, it would be great to capture images of young clavata

I was hoping to do now that I can't work any more. However, circumstances don't allow that at the present time. Hopefully, things will turn around in a short while...

I think you got it, thanks! The only problem is: which species? I would move this into Nephila genus image page except there is no place to put it. All image spaces are species-specific and I don't know which exact one is depicted here...

Leucage
is one of the long-jawed orb weavers. the best field mark may be the orange mark on the underside of the abdomen
