Taken from fungus near the ground on a coniferous tree.

- 11 antennomeres with 3 segmented club.
- Tarsi 5-5-4
- Mesocoxae with unique, polished (shiny), ventral face anterior to attachment to leg.
- Mesocoxae "open" laterally, not closed in by meso- and metasternum.
- Pronotum lateral margin explanate and curling up.
- Antennal attachments slightly hidden from above.
- Metacoxae not reaching the elytra.
- Procoxae are transverse and separated by the process, but they are open behind.
- Pictures don't show the soft short recumbent dorsal hairs coming from the randomly placed punctures, but some are seen here.

Thanks for the push. After I was convinced it had only 4 metatarsi, it easily keyed directly to Tetratomidae, and easily to genus. With only 1 possible species, I moved it and hope you agree. All pictures are still relevant, so no changes there. Changed the text to be more appropriate.

If you think some pictures are excessive, frass them, but I think they are instructive.

maybe something in the Tetratomidae-Melandryidae group?
