Christmas ball moth - Pseudeustrotia indeterminata Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA May 25, 2018
This brown moth looked like he had a large Christmas ball in his center. He had four incomplete reniform spots surrounded by black on the outside and lighter tan on the inside. He had a black T just above each apex. His terminal line was brown dashes. His appearance changed drastically with every angle of flash. I included two photos for comparison and one that includes another insect, hoping it might give you a size reference. I would estimate his wingspan was no more than 1.0 cm.
