Longhorn Beetle found on Dogwood - Molorchus bimaculatus - male

Longhorn Beetle found on Dogwood - Molorchus bimaculatus - Male
American Tobacco Trail, north of hwy 54, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
April 14, 2005
Size: 5 mm
After I manipulated the Dogwood blossom for photography, the male clambered down and decided to run off. It was quite active, once it decided to move. Here you can see the long antennae of the male, longer than the body.
