Found this almost-translucent spider on a blown-over stalk of goldenrod with a Chinese Mantis ootheca on it. I retrieved the stalk and weeks later was photographing the nymphs hatching out when I spotted the spider. It's a bit shorter but bulkier than the nymphs. It appeared to be trying to hide from them, moving when they came in sight, so it was hard to get a decent shot.

Our first thought is
Anyphaenidae. Do you have a dorsal image, even a poor one?

Sorry I didn't respond. I uploaded all the images I had. This spider was really small and shy, and a bunch of Chinese Mantid nymphs were scurrying around, so I was lucky to get the lousy shots I did. I'll keep my eyes open for this species next spring.
