Unidentified Spider - Araneus nordmanni

Unidentified Spider - Araneus nordmanni
southern Adirondack Mts., Saratoga County, New York, USA
May 26, 2018
Size: ~⅛” (2-4 mm)
Time 15:14, temp mid 70s F. A solitary little spider on a web along a pathway through mixed woods. The individual had captured a small flying insect shortly before the photos were taken. The left photo shows the spider’s dorsal surface and the right photo the ventral surface. The captured insect can be seen in the ventral photo. My apologies for the poor photo quality, but they are greatly enlarged. I’m hoping color pattern will help with the ID.
