This specimen is HMDS(1) treated to reduce shrivel upon desiccation. The image is from a Helicon Focus processed stack of 800 images with a 0.4 µm step taken with a Nikon CF BD 50X/0.90 ∞/- Apo microscope objective + Nikon 135 mm F2.8 telephoto lens + Nikon D810 camera (magnification 33.75X; technique described here).
