La Cueva Canyon, Sandia Mountains east of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, USA
Reared from a larva feeding on Texas Beargrass flowers, Nolina texana. Larva pupated on 5-6-18.
Adult emerged 5-19-18.
This species was described in 1959 and named in honor of Noel McFarland who collected an adult specimen at this location on 5-4-58. Sadly, Noel passed away in January. He is missed.
