Fly in Crow Canyon

Fly in Crow Canyon
Crow Canyon, Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, USA
May 14, 2018
Size: about half inch
On fairly bare ground in a desert area but near a wash in Crow Canyon, which is a smaller canyon connecting to the larger Largo Canyon.
I believe this is the bee fly Villa agrippina.

The windows on the crossveins and the two abdominal bands say Thyridanthrax.

Bee Fly
