Would be interesting to pull genitalia on this one
What's the exception...spot size, or extent of red on the underside? Clearly one is "atypical" here...

thought it was established that spot size was variable...
I thought the venter was diagnostic...

Me too
But I'm concerned that I've never really seen intermediates in spot size, whereas the venter is variable in some of the species (e.g. Axion) on a regional basis. The venter does not look entirely bright red in yours, it is a bit darker towards the base.
