Size: 1.5mm
I've seen this wasp near mason bee holes on two occasions. It tends to loiter there, sometimes approaching the holes and then retreating, but never flying. Most of the holes have Chelostoma philadelphi, but one or two have an Osmia sp. Hole size is 1/8", by the way, so this wasp is size of a thrips. Second closeup is photo taken the day before (May 29th 2018) but I'm guessing it's the same species and perhaps same individual. But not sure.
