Size: about 3mm
The larvae house is thin and brittle, and the rim is pottery like. The larvae moves it quite rapidly on a flat surface. The inside of the tube is clean. Just wondering how this was constructed and how the critter grew inside the open ended tube.

This is a case-bearing leaf beetle (Cryptocephalinae). The case is mostly made of the larva's frass; the larva adds to it as it grows.
