more info needed
Whoever "
Proctos
" is didn't answer my previous question about distinguishing the species or genus, and I could find no info online.
Since "Proctos" hasn't identified himself/herself, and has given no further information, both the genus and species ID is questionable at this time. And the ID of
this image
is also questionable for the same reasons.

The other image
is moved back to the family page. Too bad Proctos didn't give any bio information so we'd know if the identification is solid.

Check Henry Townes
1981. Revision of the Serphidae (=Proctotrupidae)[of the world], under Serphus (=Proctotrupes). Memoirs of the American Ent. Institute or something close to that. It is not online, but the book may still be available from the publisher. I have used it, and its not too bad, considering the obtuseness of his ichneumonid keys.

More like Proctotrupidae!
Hai Tom,
Interesting part in this specimen is the end of the abdomen, with this spine curved downwards. This is a feature that is more often found in the family Proctotrupidae! It could be a female from the genus Serphus or Brachyserphus!

Thanks Gerard, all these wasps are confusing since there are so many of them.
