Was this larva identified? We
Was this larva identified? We have some on our hibiscus, also in Northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga County. Wondering what the best course of treatment would be. We were thinking maybe neem oil.

red larva on Serviceberry
No identification yet. On Monday two larvae were observed descending about 10 feet from a Serviceberry tree in the Herb Garden. Larva have been noted in mid-June for the last 5 years.
We are not interested in treatment but do hope for an ID.

Legs?
Can you tell if they have real legs in addition to fleshy lumps? The shadow in this photo makes it hard for me to tell.

red larva- legs or fleshy lumps
My guess is fleshy lumps. All my photos are of the dorsal side. If larvae are still descending tomorrow, I will try to capture one for a ventral side photo.
