Mystery fly - acalyptrate? Maybe a chloropid? - Cryptochetum iceryae

Mystery fly - acalyptrate? Maybe a chloropid? - Cryptochetum iceryae
Stulsaft Park, San Mateo County, California, USA
June 9, 2018
Size: ca 2 mm
I beat this cool little fly from a shrub, likely Toyon. Really stumped, not unusual for me. The wing venation and overall appearance resembles a few of the chloropids, but those thick antennae seem wrong.
